GIVE
WHY WE GIVE

We serve a generous God. God gives us good things we don’t deserve and could never earn, like grace and forgiveness. We believe we are to give because it is part of our worship, through giving your tithe and other gifts beyond your tithe.

The Bible tells us that everything we have is a gift from God (1 Chronicles 29:14). As you give both faithfully and sacrificially, the mission of God advances, the gospel is preached, lives are touched, and Churches are strengthened; and you, in turn, are blessed by God so that you can give again.

Your giving makes a difference. When you give, you are supporting the mission of Christ, and helping others come to know Him.

2 Corinthians 9:7

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

WHAT IS TITHING?
offering box_extended

Tithing is a way to worship God, because it shows Him that we trust His provision in our lives. “Tithe” means ten percent, which is the portion of our income that we give to God to say thank you for all He has given us. God doesn’t need our money, He wants our trust, and trusting Him with our finances is a great way to demonstrate our dependence on Him.

Malachi 3:10

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
